The short version
This site collects one thing: the email address, and optionally the first name, of people who choose to join our newsletter. Nothing else. There is no advertising tracker, no analytics profiling, and no third-party cookie on this site.
What we collect and why
When you submit the newsletter form we record your email address, your first name if you gave one, the language version of the site you used, the page you signed up from, and the date and time.
We use this for one purpose: sending you the WOM newsletter. Registration windows, new dates, and what we are building. Roughly once a month.
Where it is stored
Newsletter sign-ups are stored in a private Google Sheet controlled by THE WOM, in Google Workspace. Access is restricted to the founder.
The submission passes through our hosting provider, Vercel Inc., which processes the request but does not retain the content.
How long we keep it
Until you ask us to remove it, or until the newsletter stops, whichever comes first.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it entirely. Write to hello@thewomchallenge.com and we will action it within 30 days.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any moment, and every email we send will carry a one-click unsubscribe link.
We never sell or share it
Your address is never sold, rented, or passed to a partner brand, a sponsor, or anyone else. Not once, not for any amount.
Event registration is separate
Registering for an event happens on our ticketing partner’s platform, not here. The data you give them is governed by their own privacy policy, which you should read at the point of purchase.
Photography at events
WOM events are photographed and filmed, and those images are used on this site and on social media. If you take part and do not want to appear, tell us at check-in and we will make sure you do not.
